Community Program
Founded on November 10, 2013, the Palestinian American Medical Association (PAMA) was established by a group of dedicated Palestinian healthcare professionals who either practiced or are currently practicing in the United States. Recognizing a crucial gap in the healthcare landscape, PAMA serves as a vital umbrella organization, uniting Palestinian and other healthcare professionals with a shared concern for Palestine. Inspired by this imperative, a gathering of Palestinian physicians convened in Dearborn, Michigan, marking the inaugural PAMA meeting. Since its inception, PAMA has actively engaged healthcare professionals across the West Bank, Gaza, and the United States. Our mission extends beyond borders, fostering collaboration and partnerships between healthcare practitioners and institutions in the U.S. and Palestine. Through strategic alliances with local and international NGOs, PAMA works tirelessly to fulfill its mission. Membership in PAMA is inclusive and open to all healthcare professionals who resonate with our mission. This encompasses physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, therapists, and healthcare technology professionals alike. Together, we are committed to advancing healthcare excellence and fostering solidarity in support of Palestine.
